Yes. Note however that credit card payments reduce the donation amount ABOL receives. For that reason we recommend when possible that you select to pay by an electronic funds transfer, or an online bill payment. All major banks are supported and setting an EFT is very simple. To set your payment method simply follow the prompts at your first checkout. You will be able to reuse any saved method of payment for faster checkouts in subsequent purchases.
You can purchase both E-gift cards and plastic cards. You may also select them as a one off card – great for a specific purchase you need (for example when getting sporting equipment), or you can select reloadable cards for your regular purchases (for example gas or groceries). You can also buy gift cards as you normally would at most retailers, and can set recurring orders.
There may be an additional mailing cost for orders under $300.00. Mailing fees may also apply if you choose an express delivery service. If there are mailing fees, they will be added to the total of the order for your approval before checkout.
Ordering from FundScrip is as secure as ordering from any large ecommerce site, like them FundScrip uses the same encryption technology as all the major banks, and have their servers stored in secure facilities. FundScrip takes security very seriously, their reputation depends on it. All cards mailed are registered and protected to your name, so there is no risk of the mailed card not arriving, as you can simply cancel the card and request a replacement one.

Yes, it is really a free program, there is no catch. The retail partners want to develop customer loyalty, support worthwhile causes, and sell gift cards. FundScrip has created a program that does all three. Supporters pay face value for the gift cards, and a percentage is donated to the cause of their choice. Under certain conditions FundScrip passes on fees for certain shipping methods, and when using certain payment types. You will be advised in advance if any fees apply – it will never be a surprise.
None of the gift cards have expiration dates. Regulation of gift cards is under provincial jurisdiction; and all Canadian provinces have specific laws prohibiting expiration dates on gift cards.
Yes! You can choose either one off purchases (ideal for gifts , home appliances, sporting equipment, etc.), or recurring and refillable cards (ideal for your monthly shopping like groceries, fuel, coffee, etc.)
Yes! If you are already registered with FundScrip, then all you need to do is add ABOL’s invitation code to your account. When you do so, you will be able to choose which charity you support on every purchase.
